Well, it's almost Christmas and I'm approaching the end of my first trimester. I feel about the same as I have for the last month or so - mostly ok. I'm still taking more naps than normal, and am usually ready for bed pretty early. My stomach is still sort of upset a lot, but seems to settle down some if I have something in it. I'm actually getting a bit tired of eating so much. Oh well. I can't really complain; on the whole I feel pretty lucky.
I went to the dentist today and they said that my teeth and gums seem good. Apparently when one is pregnant hormones can sometimes cause more gum problems.
That reminds me of a quote I read a long time ago. I don't remember the exact words, but it was basically saying that when it comes to medicine/health issues there should actually be three sexes - women, men, and pregnant women. I just can't wait until all my internal organs get squished and shifted around to make room for the glicklet!
We visited Kyle Schlabach and Jessica Baldanzi and their new son, Thomas, yesterday. Both of us held him for a while as he slept. It was good to be reminded of the end result of this process. And, for the record, he is an absolutely adorable baby.
Craig is so supportive, it's wonderful. Today he made vegetable soup for lunch. It was yummy. I've included a picture of him taking a photograph since I don't have one of him cooking. =)
